“C3 Haven’s Harvest Community Garden began in 2025 from a desire to serve our community in practical ways and build meaningful connections with people in our local area. Our hope is that the garden will become a welcoming place where people can gather, connect, stay active, enjoy creation, and share in the simple joy of growing together.
As the garden becomes more established and fruitful, we hope it will also provide fresh produce for our community and help us host shared community meals. Our faith in Jesus Christ compels us to serve others generously, knowing that every person is deeply loved by God. The garden is one simple and practical way for us to express that love.
Jesus teaches that God’s people are called to serve with compassion and generosity. In Mt. 25:35, Jesus says, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…”
The garden is currently cared for by a team of around ten members, and we hope this team will continue to grow as the project develops. At present, we have three main raised garden beds, along with several secondary planting spaces where we are growing fruit and vegetables. New ground beds are planned for early 2026, which will give us more space for this initial stage of the project. In time, we hope to expand the growing area even further.
