“C3’s Harvest Community Garden is a project started in 2025 from a strong desire to serve our community practically and to connect with people in our local area. Our hope is that the garden might gather people looking for a place to connect all whilst helping us stay active, enjoy creation and the outdoors. There are hopes that the garden, once fully functioning and fruitful, might also be able to provide fresh produce for the community and for our church to host community meals. Our faith in Jesus Christ compels us to generously serve others knowing that people are much loved by God. The garden is a simple way for us to do this.
Jesus teaches us that God wants the church to serve people and to give generously. In Matthew 25:35 Jesus reminds us of this when he says: ‘ For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me...’
The garden project is currently made up of a team of about ten members, however, this will hopefully grow as the project evolves. We currently have three main raised beds with some secondary planting spaces growing fruit and vegetables. Ground beds will be installed early in 2026 which will provide us the space for growing in this initial phase of the project. In future, there are hopes that the growing area of the garden can be expanded. We would love to connect with you if you are interested in the project!”
